Join a highly motivated team of young professionals bringing cutting-edge CFD to industry applications
Push the boundaries of aeronautical design, splitting your time between developing defense systems and advancing computational capabilities across fields such as hypersonics, aero-elastics, aero-optics, combustion, and optimization.
Research Focus Areas:
Adjoint-method aerodynamic optimization
Data-driven and AI-based optimization techniques
Rarefied gas dynamics
Hypersonic flow phenomena
Aero-optics of airborne optical systems
Aero-thermal heat transfer
Aero-elasticity
The Role:
You’ll leverage a combination of commercial tools, in-house codes, and open-source software, with most development done in Python on Linux-based high-performance distributed computing (HPC) systems. As the subject-matter authority on aerodynamic simulation, you’ll lead flow computations across a range of projects.

Bachelor’s degree in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Physics
Master’s degree in a relevant field such as Fluid Dynamics, CFD, Flight Sciences, Heat Transfer, Aeroelasticity, or Aero-Optics
Ph.D. in a related field – an advantage
Experience:
Around 3 years in a comparable role, or an advanced degree specializing in one of the fields listed above
Technical Knowledge & Skills:
Strong foundation in fluid mechanics, CFD, compressible flow, applied mathematics, and numerical methods
Working proficiency in Linux, including Python and Bash scripting
Experience with parallelized code – an advantage
