The National Library of Israel is seeking a creative Video Content Creator/Editor to join the English content team within the Library’s Digital Content Department.
We are looking for a storyteller who can come up with compelling ideas for short- and long-form videos and manage the creative process: conceptualization of innovative stories and video series based largely on the library’s rich collections, scriptwriting and production management, including managing a camera crew and editing. This is primarily a behind-the-scenes role but may require some on-camera presence. We’d like you to explore fresh angles in both content and visual direction.
This is a full-time, hybrid position based in Jerusalem (combining in-office and remote work).
Responsibilities
• Research & Ideation: Dive deep into the National Library’s diverse departments and collections to find captivating stories. Conceptualize original ideas, new video formats, and unique series.
• Scriptwriting: Write engaging, well-researched, and structured scripts for YouTube videos and social media platforms.
• End-to-End Production: Manage the production process, including coordinating timelines, visual assets, and working with external vendors (such as videographers and video editors).
• Cross-Department Collaboration: Work closely with library experts, curators, and archives to bring historical and cultural treasures to life.
