· Generating innovative designs that incorporate precision mechanisms, pneumatic systems, opto-mechanical design, vibration isolation, cooling systems, clean-air and flow design, and electronic packaging.
· Performing tolerance analysis, GD&T, error budgeting, and managing the flow up and down of requirements and design.
· Performing finite element analysis, encompassing modal analysis, thermal analysis, and flow analysis.
· Offering support for customer concerns, investigations malfunction of new designs, and support (including at customer sites and manufacturing support).
Minimum Qualifications:
· Master’s Level Degree with a proven experience OR Bachelor’s Level Degree with at least 5 years of experience.
· Deep understanding of physics and mechanics.
· Knowledge in Precision Mechanics Design, including Opto-Mechanics, is a necessity.
· Knowledge in Pneumatics is advantageous.
· Proficiency with 3D SolidWorks modeling CAD; Experience with Flow Simulation and Simulation Professional is advantageous.
· Experience with ANSYS is advantageous.
· Knowledge of materials and their characteristics.
· Familiarity with mechanical manufacturing processes, including machining, sheet metal fabrication, welding, etc.
· Good communication and team working skills are imperative.
· Ability to work quickly under stress on multiple tasks.
· Good interpersonal skills and ability to collaborate with other teams in a diverse and stressed environment.
