As Director of Engineering, you will
• Collaborate with cross-functional partners in Sales, General Managers, and
executive members to define and build a data-informed technology strategy and
roadmaps.
• Advise GM and priorities regarding design and direction of new developments.
• Ensure the engineering team is scheduled and working efficiently while utilizing
company equipment and harnessing the rest of the departments, such as sales
and QA.
The ideal candidate demonstrates personnel leadership skills, proven technical
competence, and the ability to collaborate with others to achieve business objectives.
Responsibilities
• Lead and mentor a team of electrical and mechanical engineers to deliver the
best antenna product to fit the customer need
• Conduct presentations to military and commercial engineering team (including
PDR, CDR, etc.)
• Review SOWs and special requests from clients, evaluate, and raise issues or
concerns.
• Provide estimated cost of new designs
• Support an organizational effort toward better understanding customer needs
and pain points, and develop plans that further this goal
• Attract and retain new engineering talent
• Manage the product portfolio
• Champion technical discussion with the client technical staff
