About the Role
A senior technical leadership role owning key innovation domains in AI/ML, large-scale Data Engineering, and cloud-native SaaS product development.
Suitable for Directors — as well as CTOs or VP R&D from smaller companies — who are hands-on, deeply technical, and experienced in delivering scalable cloud solutions.
Responsibilities
Lead multiple engineering teams across AI/ML, data platforms, and distributed systems
Drive new SaaS product development from concept to GA
Own architecture within your domain and guide major technical decisions
Stay hands-on when needed (POCs, architecture reviews, technical validation)
Build and grow engineering talent and strengthen team capabilities
Translate high-level strategy into clear execution plans

Experience as Director / Senior Engineering Manager, or CTO / VP R&D in a smaller company
Strong architectural and system-level thinking
Deep experience in AI/ML pipelines and large-scale Data Engineering
Hands-on experience with cloud-native distributed systems
Proven track record delivering complex products end-to-end
Advantage: Experience building or scaling SaaS platforms
Technical Must-Haves
Spark / EMR
Real-time ingestion
OpenSearch / Elasticsearch
Vector search
AWS (S3, EMR, EKS)
Kubernetes, Terraform
Kafka, ML pipelines
Nice to Have
Snowflake, Databricks, Lake Formation
Prior experience in SaaS product architecture or data/AI SaaS environments
